The issue of VFR flights at high altitudes
Vrána, Jiří ; Chlebek, Jiří (referee) ; Hammer, Jaromír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with procedures of VFR flight at high altitudes. It describes the division of airspace including the limitations applied and significant international organizations in relation to its management and organization. It also focuses on the rules for the execution of VFR flights, non-standard flights, and comparison of non-standard flights with adjacent states.

RNAV Objectives, Methods, and Technologies
Batelka, Marek ; Kevický, Dušan (referee) ; Vosecký, Slavomír (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with the issues of air traffic. This thesis aims to create an overview of the methods used at the up-to-date air navigation. Analyzes the various methods of navigation methods. Interprets the objectives of the contemporary navigation direction and future development of air navigation. It also deals with ways of planning the new airways and the benefits that current area navigation aviation brings.
Utilizability of civil aircraft anti-collision systems by unmanned aircraft
Batelka, Marek ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Vosecký, Slavomír (advisor)
This thesis explain today and future technologies of air traffic collision avoidance systems and of its utilizability by unmanned aircraft. The first part describes the UAVs and their categorization. Next part deals with the legislative requirements for their operation. The main part deals with TCAS, ADS-B, FLARM and others that are now used in civil aviation as a key technology to avoid a collision. The last part describes the UAV systems with a focus on the actual sensors used in systems for unmanned aerial vehicles for collision avoidance. The whole work deals with issues of development of collision avoidance systems and summarizes the current technology with a view to its possible application in the near future.
Role and tasks of air traffic services of the civil aviation
Panáček, Jiří ; Sklenář, Filip (referee) ; Chlebek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with rols and tasks of air traffic services of the civil aviation. Its aim is to compile a comprehensive overview of air traffic services, including the characteristics of their significance and definition of their activities. There is also emphasis on the submission of information in more readable form than what can be found in official documents describing the issue.
Web Interface for Human Corrections of Automatic Transcript and Tagging
Plhal, Jan ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is the design and implementation of a web application for human corrections of automatic transcript and annotation of VHF (very high frequency) pilot-tower radio communication. The main inspiration is the ATCO2 SpokenData annotation service from the company ReplayWell, which was remade from the ground up into a more user-friendly form with a number of user customizable elements. Based on studied principles of designing a well usable user interface and insights gained from research of annotation applications was created a functional design and also a graphical design of the application in the form of a wireframe. The designed application was successfully implemented using the selected technologies. The usability of the application was verified and improved with the help of user testing and the application was also deployed on the SpokenData website.
Agent Approach to Air Traffic Control
Radar Interface and Its Interconnection to Air Traffic Control System Simulation
Buchníčková, Tereza ; Ondřej, Karel (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis aims to create an application for training new air traffic control officers. The system is implemented as a JavaScript web application using the JQuery and Leaflet libraries. The server part is written in Python using the BlueSky library for air traffic simulation. The thesis presents a theoretical background and discussed the design and implementation of the system. The result is an application that offers to display current air traffic, or where the user, in the role of air traffic control officer, can practice communication with a pilot on simulated air traffic. The application allows the recording of voice communication and, in cooperation with an automatic speech recognition system, converts this communication into text displayed on the screen. In addition to the support of the training of air traffic operators, this application also serves as a demonstration of the results of the research groups KnoT and Speech from the Faculty of Information Technology, Brno University of Technology.

Measures of the EU in the area of air traffic facilitiating the free movement of persons, goods and services - the Single European Sky
Pysk, Vladimír ; Tomášek, Michal (advisor) ; Ondřej, Jan (referee)
This diploma thesis is dedicated to the European Commission's project known under the name Single European Sky which pursues an objective to reorganize the current European airspace structure for the more efficient provision of air navigation services purposes. As an introduction, the author sets himself the goal to acquaint the reader with relevant international organizations in the field of civil aviation, introduce him in a general way into the provision of air navigation services' issues, including the situations when these services are being provided across the national boundaries. Following this general reading, the thesis fluently moves on to its main subject matter which is the Single European Sky initiative. An attention is focused on the state of European airspace before the initiative has been launched as well as the preparatory works which resulted in the adoption of the first SES legislative package. The following chapter presents the basic legal framework regulating the Single European Sky as amended by the adoption of the second legislative package. Principal part of the thesis is comprised in the next chapter dealing with the process of project's implementation. Within its framework, the reader's attention is turned, inter alia, to such crucial issues as the national supervisory...
